Year’s Resolutions: Personal Safety for Yourself and Family!

January 1st is just around the corner. It is about time to start
making resolutions, even though many will soon end up becoming
forgotten. As well as the ever popular traditional resolutions of
getting a better job, getting into shape or giving up smoking,
drinking or some other bad habit, a vow to become equipped to
sufficiently defend yourself or your family should rank high on
your list.
Are you highly confident that you could effectively protect
yourself, your spouse, your child or any loved one from a robber,
carjacker, rapist, intruder, kidnapper, terrorist or anyone else
with malicious intent? The statistics are quite alarming:

minute, a forcible rape every 5.6 minutes, and a murder every

unfortunate necessity in today's society. In many cases, a
simple and effective deterrence mechanism may be the difference
between becoming a victim or preventing a crime before it has a
